Parties’ election campaigns get into full swing

Prime Minister Antonis Samaras will begin his national election campaign on Saturday, when he will visit Thessaly in central Greece.

Deputy Prime Minister and PASOK leader Evangelos Venizelos is due to speak in the Peloponnese over the weekend.

SYRIZA is due to hold a meeting its central committee in Athens on Saturday to decide the party’s campaign strategy. The opposition party has also renewed calls for its leader and Alexis Tsipras to hold televised debates.
