Parties have until January 9 to request green light to run in polls
All political parties wishing to take part in the snap polls on January 25 will have to submit their details, including names and symbols, to the Supreme Court by January 9.
The court is expected to announce on January 14 which parties fulfill the criteria needed to take part in the general elections.
It is not yet clear if the court will allow far-right Golden Dawn to take part.
Its leader, Nikos Michaloliakos, and seven other party MPs are in pre-trial custody on charges of forming a criminal gang. Their trial is expected to begin in March.
