Ecologist Greens MEP complains to European Commission about protected wetlands
Ecologist Greens MEP Nikos Chrysogelos has complained to the European Commission that Greece’s privatization fund, TAIPED, has taken over eight protected wetlands.
The European Parliament deputy claims that four of the wetlands on Naxos, Milos and Paros are part of the EU’s Natura 2000 network, one on Naxos has been classified as a wildlife habitat, and three on Paros and Antiparos have been classified as small island wetlands.
