Police release name and photograph of 40-year-old accused of sexually assaulting 21 schoolgirls
Police on Thursday released the name and photograph of a 40-year-old man alleged to have impersonated a police officer so he could sexually assault at least 21 schoolgirls.
The man, identified as Stylianos Georgiadis, was arrested on Saturday after assaulting a young girl in Petralona, southern Athens, where he is a resident.
The suspect allegedly followed schoolgirls home and then, pretending to be a police officer who wanted to question them, assaulted them.
He is known to the police as he was arrested twice between 1995 and 2005.
