Police arrest three in connection to used-car scam

Three people were arrested on Wednesday in Nafplio in the northern Peloponnese in connection to a used-car sales ring that is believed to have defrauded at least 13 people out of a total of 39,000 euros.

Police investigating the ring after complaints were made found that at least 13 people responding to online advertisements for used cars had been convinced to deposit a down payment for the vehicle in one of two bank accounts set up by members of the ring, though the purchase never came through.
