Albanian foreign minister accuses Greece of ‘naive’ and ‘nationalist’ rhetoric
Albanian Foreign Minister Edmond Panariti on Tuesday accused Athens of “naive” and “nationalist” rhetoric after his Greek counterpart, Dimitris Avramopoulos (photo), canceled a trip to Albania last week following references made to a “greater Albania” by the country’s prime minister, Sali Berisha.
Greek Foreign Ministry spokesman Grigoris Delavekouras responded by saying that Panariti “is right in saying that it is irrational and naive for one to talk of Albanian territorial claims against Greece.”
