ATMs attacked
Unidentified arsonists on Thursday planted homemade explosive devices made of gas canisters outside the premises of a local courthouse and on two bank ATMs in Gytheio, in the southern Peloponnese.
The devices detonated, causing significant material damage but no injuries, according to local police.
In the affluent Athens suburb of Palaio Psychico, arsonists destroyed three cars that were parked outside an apartment block there.
According to police, the arsonists doused newspapers with flammable liquid and ignited them before throwing the flaming newspapers onto the vehicles.
