Public transport strikes planned for Tuesday
Commuters? nerves will be frayed further on Tuesday as public transport employees walk off the job to protest wage cuts and a move by the government to place some public sector workers in a standby labor pool.
The walkout will halt services on the metro, buses and trolley buses. Unions representing workers at other forms of public transport, including the Kifissia-Piraeus electric railway (ISAP) and the Athens tram, were expected to announce a decision on strike action later in the day.
