Migrants deported back to home countries

A total of 61 undocumented immigrants, all Pakistanis and Afghans, were returned to their countries of origin on Wednesday aboard chartered flights, authorities said.

The repatriation of the immigrants was organized after authorities issued an order for their deportation.

The cost of returning the migrants to their home countries is covered by the European Union, which is subsidizing Greece?s expenses in this area due to the country?s location on the EU?s southeastern external border.
