Hooded thieves snatch rifle from air base

Air force officials on Monday were investigating an unusual incident involving two hooded assailants who broke into a base in Aliarto in the prefecture of Viotia and disarmed a 19-year-old guard of a G3 rifle.

According to the testimony of the guard, who had been on duty at the base, the two assailants attacked him at about 3 a.m. after entering the grounds through a barbed wire fence. They fled with his service rifle without causing any injuries.
