UN chief Ban to call for meeting of Cyprus leaders

United Nations chief Ban Ki-moon said on Tuesday he would call a meeting with Cyprus President Dimitris Christofias and Turkish-Cypriot leader Dervis Eroglu on October 30 in a bid to hammer out a settlement aimed at reunifying the divided island.

?The Cyprus issue is an important one,? Ban told reporters.
