Three self-professed members of Revolutionary Struggle were released on Tuesday after serving 18 months in pretrial custody, the legal maximum.

Self-proclaimed ringleader Nikos Maziotis, his girlfriend Panagiota Roupa and Costas Gournas were released on strict conditions, including a ban on leaving the prefecture of Attica.

The three issued a joint statement saying that they were ?proud? of their activities.

Another four suspected members have been released while Costas Katsenos is still in custody.

The trial of the eight suspects is to resume on October 24.
