Suspected robbery ringleader caught
Following a large-scale search, police on Monday arrested a 30-year-old Albanian national in Piraeus in connection with a series of armed robberies conducted in super markets, kiosks and gas stations. According to police sources, the man, known as ?Tony,? is believed to have had a leading role in the formation of criminal gangs that conducted a long list of assaults armed with Kalashnikov assault rifles. He is believed to be linked to a string of crimes including robberies and murders, according to the police who have arrested four of his suspected accomplices and are seeking another two.
