Intruder takes 10-year-old as hostage

A man posing as a social worker entered a couple?s house in Kamatero in western Athens on Sunday. After immobilizing the couple and their 10-year-old daugther, he took money and valuables before fleeing the scene with the 10-year-old as a hostage. Later on, the girl was located about one kilometer away from her residence in a state of shock.

Meanwhile, three intruders broke into the house of a 40-year-old woman in the southern Athenian suburb of Ilioupoli early Monday morning. The perpetrators held the woman, the mother of an underaged child, at gunpoint as they grabbed money and jewelry. Then they sexually assaulted her. Following the attack the woman was taken to hospital.
