Probe launched into minister’s claims about tax dodgers
A probe is being launched into claims by former Finance Minister Dimitris Kouselas, who was replaced in a reshuffle earlier this year, that he had prepared a list of individuals who owed large amounts in taxes whom the government is yet to take any action against.
Prosecutor Grigoris Peponis asked for the investigation to be launched after media reports that Kouselas was involved in an argument with Finance Minister Evangelos Venizelos during a meeting with PASOK MPs on Thursday.
Kouselas?s list allegedly contains some 3,800 tax dodgers who owe more than 1 million euros each to the state.
