Early morning quake rattles Kefalonia

A magnitude 4.4 earthquake struck the Ionian island of Kefalonia (also spelled Cephalonia) in the early hours of Friday. There were no reports of injuries or damage.

According to the Geodynamic Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter of the quake was 6 kilometers west-southwest of Fiskardo, at a depth of 16.1 kilometers.
