Man arrested in Athens for facilitating illegal adoptions

A 38-year-old man with two pending arrest warrants for facilitating illegal adoptions was nabbed in Athens on Wednesday.
According to police reports, the foreign national, along with his accomplices, organized the transfer of pregnant women from a neighboring country to Greece, where their newborns were placed for adoption in exchange for payment.
He is accused of involvement in at least six cases in Athens and Katerini between 2015 and 2016.
