Woman, 25, dies in workplace accident at cotton factory

A 25-year-old woman was killed in the early hours of Monday morning in a workplace accident at a cotton factory in Kileler, located in the Larissa regional unit of central Greece.

According to state broadcaster ERT, the woman became trapped in a cotton gin shortly before 4 a.m. Fire service crews were called in to assist with her rescue, responding with three vehicles and ten personnel.

The 25-year-old was transported by ambulance to the General University Hospital of Larissa, where doctors confirmed her death.

The identity of the victim has not yet been disclosed. 

No further details are currently available regarding the circumstances surrounding the incident.
