Pedestrian hit by bus in Thessaloniki

A pedestrian was hit by a city bus on Vasilissis Olgas Street in eastern Thessaloniki on Wednesday morning.

The bus driver, attempting to avoid the pedestrian who was crossing the road, braked abruptly, which also resulted in injuries to several passengers on the bus.

Emergency services (EKAV) and traffic police responded swiftly to the incident. Four people were taken to Ippokrateio General Hospital and Agios Pavlos General Hospital for examination. Initial reports suggest that the injuries were minor.
