16-year-old injured in Nea Filadelfia after utility pole collapses

A 16-year-old girl was injured when a utility pole fell in the Nea Filadelfia district of Athens on Wednesday. The victim was transported by ambulance to Aglaia Kyriakou Children’s Hospital.
Initial reports indicate that the pole collapsed after being struck by a trolley bus on Fokon Street. The exact circumstances of the accident remain unclear.
Crews are currently working to remove the pole from the roadway, causing traffic disruptions in the area.
