Truck crashes into train in Avlida; three injuries reported
A truck crashed into a passenger train near Avlida in southern Evia, Hellenic Train said Tuesday. Three minor injuries were reported.
According to the company, the truck veered off course on the peripheral road near Avlida and fell onto the train tracks, colliding with Train 1551 traveling from Halkida to Athens.
“The fire service has rescued the 130 passengers. Buses have been arranged for their evacuation,” Hellenic Train reported.
