Plane from London makes emergency landing in Athens

An aircraft carrying 223 passengers made an emergency landing on Friday at Eleftherios Venizelos international airport in Athens shortly after takeoff from London, bound for Hania, Crete.

According to initial reports, the plane experienced a hydraulic system issue, necessitating the emergency procedure.

All passengers and crew are reported safe.
