Man dies after being hit by motorcycle

A man was killed in southern Athens on Tuesday morning when a motorcycle hit him, state-run broadcaster ERT reported.

It was not clear how the accident happened.

The accident happened at the junction of coastal Posidonos Avenue and Agiou Alexandrou, in the district of Palio Faliro. The driver was also injured and was transferred to a hospital. 

Traffic police is investigating the incident.
