Four businessmen submit testimony in wiretap case
Four individuals have reportedly been summoned by the Supreme Court deputy prosecutor to testify as suspects in the wiretapping case that shocked the nation in 2022.
These are private businessmen who participated in the companies that have been implicated in the wiretapping of prominent individuals, including PASOK President Nikos Androulakis, other politicians and journalists via the National Intelligence Service (EYP). According to reports, the suspects submitted relevant memoranda through their lawyers last week.
They are the first private individuals to be summoned by deputy prosecutor Achilleas Zisis, who is also examining findings collected from the surprise inspection carried out a few days ago at the EYP offices.
Apart from the former director of the PM’s office, Grigoris Dimitriadis, prosecutor Vassiliki Vlachou and former EYP chief Panagiotis Kontoleon have also testified.
