Fenerbahce hooligans attack Panathinaikos fans ahead of EuroLeague in Berlin
Ahead of the EuroLeague Final Four in basketball on Friday at the Uber Arena in Berlin, clashes have been reported between Turkish hooligans and Greek fans.
Eyewitnesses told Kathimerini that about 100 Fenerbahce hooligans approached the venue as a bloc and broke through railings, while Panathinaikos fans, but also Olympiakos supporters, were waiting to enter the stands.
Police intervened made a number of arrests when Fenerbahce fans beat some Greek fans.
Panathinaikos, guided by Turkish coach Ergin Ataman, will face Fenerbahce, before Olympiacos goes head-to-head with defending champion Real Madrid in a rematch of last season’s final.
