Traffic regulations on Egnatia Odos due to tunnel maintenance
Motorists using the Egnatia Odos highway (A2) around the Igoumenitsa area may face some delays through Wednesday as maintenance work is carried out on the Aktio-Preveza Undersea Tunnel.
According to the highway operator, the northbound lane from Aktio to Preveza will be closed from 7 p.m. on Monday until midnight, while on Tuesday and Wednesday, the southbound lane from Preveza to Aktio will be closed during the same hours.
In the meantime, vehicles will be rerouted to the available lanes, possibly causing some delays.
Egnatia Odos spans the northern part of the country, connecting Igoumenitsa on the Ionian Sea side to the border with Turkey at Kipoi, and is part of European Route E90.
