Athens cab drivers putting on the brakes on Wednesday

There will be no taxis in Athens on Wednesday as the Association of Attica Taxi Drivers (SATA) has called for a strike.
SATA is responding to government measures aimed at combating tax evasion among freelance professionals.
According to the union, these measures are perceived to be favoring major companies, such as the ride-sharing platform Uber, to the detriment of self-employed drivers.
