Greece sending humanitarian aid to Gaza on Monday
As the humanitarian crisis escalates in Israeli-besieged Gaza, Foreign Minister George Gerapetritis confirmed on Friday that a Greek C-130 military transport aircraft loaded with essential supplies, including food, drinking water, and medicine, will depart for the Hamas-ruled enclave, home to 2.3 million people, on Monday.
Speaking in Parliament, Gerapetritis said that the Greek government is collaborating with the governments of Cyprus and France on “a highly challenging endeavor due to the absence of a secure port in Gaza.”
