Fall weather on the way
A long spell of balmy weather in much of Greece is expected to give way on Tuesday to showers and thunderstorms, mainly in the western, central and northern parts of the country.
According to the National Observatory of Athens’ Meteo weather service, rain and localized thunderstorms are expected initially in Epirus, in western central Greece and in Macedonia. That will gradually extend to the remaining western and northern parts, while similar patterns will affect Thessaly and northern Evia later in the day.
Local showers are also expected in Crete, mainly in its mountains, while Athens is expected to continue enjoying relatively warm weather for the rest of the week.
