Overall number of West Nile virus infections reach 157

A total of 157 domestic cases of West Nile virus infection in Greece had been diagnosed up until October 10, according to the National Public Health Organization (EODY).

Many of these cases affected the central nervous system. Twenty deaths have been recorded. All the fatalities were over 64. EODY said five new cases were diagnosed/reported during the last week.
