Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis is heading to Malta on Friday for the EU Med summit, where migration is expected to be one of the key topics on the agenda.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen and European Council chief Charles Michel will also be present for part of the summit, which represents an alliance of nine Mediterranean and southern European Union member-states: Croatia, Cyprus, France, Greece, Italy, Malta, Portugal, Slovenia and Spain.
Climate change and energy are also expected to be high on the agenda.
Mitsotakis is also scheduled to hold talks with French President Emmanuel Macron on the sidelines of the summit.
