Dendias says Armed Forces assisting in relief efforts in latest storm

The Armed Forces were assisting the efforts to deal with the consequences of the latest storm that is pounding central Greece, Defence Minister Nikos Dendias said on Thursday.
“Our thoughts are with the residents of Volos, the rest of Thessaly, northern Evia and the other areas that are being tested anew by the severe weather phenomena,” he said in a post on X (formerly known as Twitter).
Dendias thanked the personnel of the Armed Forces who once again “rushed selflessly to help the citizens who were in danger.”
