Eighteen Volos residents rescued from storm spent night in ferry

A total of 18 people in the city of Volos who were rescued by the Fire Brigade after being trapped in their homes during the storm late on Wednesday, spent the night in the ferry Super Star anchored in the port.
Five people were still on the ship on Thursday morning.
Meanwhile, the shipping ministry announced that all morning trips of the ferries Super Star and Express Skiathos, as well as of the flying dolphin Erato were cancelled.
North-northeasterly winds of up to 6 on the Beaufort scale were blowing in the area.
