Courts to halt operations around elections
Civil and criminal court hearings in Athens and Thessaloniki will be suspended from May 17 to 26 due to the general election on May 21, the Justice Ministry has announced.
However, criminal cases that begin before May 17 and that need to continue beyond that date will be heard.
The auctioning of foreclosed homes will also be suspended from May 17 to 23 while land registry offices will be closed from May 19 to 22. [AMNA]
