Municipalities clash with regional authority over Faliro Bay project
A war has erupted between the southern Athens municipalities of Moschato-Tavros and Kallithea and the Attica Regional Authority over the redevelopment of Faliro Bay.
In a resolution, the municipalities called on the regional authority, which has undertaken the project, to complete the first phase immediately and to proceed by May with the tender of the second phase, accusing it of unjustified delays.
The regional authority pushed back against the accusation as nonsensical, claiming the redevelopment will proceed as soon as possible. The multimillion-euro project includes the creation of a metropolitan park, road networks, landscaping, building projects, underground carparks, and marine projects.
