Earthquake strikes Ilia region
A 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck the region of Ilia in the Peloponnese on Wednesday morning at 9.45 a.m.
According to the Geodynamics Institute of the National Observatory of Athens, the epicenter of the quake was at sea and located 14 kilometers southwest of the port town of Kyllini, at a depth of 30 kilometers.
Greece is one of the most earthquake-prone parts of the world. Most cause little damage and fatalities are rare.
