20-year-old injured by attackers in northern Athens

A 20-year-old man was injured when he and four friends were attacked by five individuals in the suburb of Maroussi, northern Athens on Wednesday night in what police suspect was linked to soccer club rivalry.
The incident took place shortly after 7 p.m. and the victim had to be transferred to a nearby hospital to receive treatment for a thigh injury caused by a sharp object.
