New SYRIZA spokesperson hospitalized with pneumonia

Popi Tsapanidou, SYRIZA’s new spokesperson, was admitted to hospital on New Year’s Eve after contracting pneumonia.
Her condition is reportedly not a cause for concern and she has remained in hospital mainly for precautionary reasons.
According to state broadcaster ERT, she is expected to be discharged on Thursday.
Tsapanidou, a former TV news presenter, was appointed SYRIZA’s spokesperson last Wednesday.
