Adrift vessel reaches Crete

A drifting vessel, with hundreds of migrants and refugees on board, arrived safely at a Cretan port on Tuesday, concluding a major rescue operation that had been underway since the early morning.
Nearby vessels, fishing boats, and the Hellenic Navy Frigate “Kanaris” all contributed to the successful operation.
Responders were quick to provide first aid to any in need on board the vessel.
