Tenth migrant rescued in Evia boat sinking
Greece’s Coast Guard said it recovered one more of the dozens of migrants believed missing after their boat sank off the island of Evia early on Tuesday, bringing the number of those saved to 10.
The man was found by a cargo ship that had been ordered by Greek authorities to help in the search and rescue operation and was later picked up by the Coast Guard and transported to the town of Karystos.
According to the migrants accounts, about 68 people were on the boat, Coast Guard spokesperson Nikos Kokkalas told state broadcaster ERT earlier in the day.
