Twelve detained in ongoing police operation in northwestern Attica

Twelve people have been detained so far in a large, ongoing police operation to tackle crime in northwestern Attica, state-run broadcaster ERT reported on Wednesday. 

Police officers are carrying out investigations to identify gangs or individual criminals involved in drug trafficking, thefts of car parts, and robberies.

Greek Police (ELAS) is expected to make announcements later in the day.
