Murder suspect apprehended at border railway station

The suspect in the murder of a 17-year-old Afghan man, whose body was found in a street in the Athens district of Votanikos last week, was arrested near the North Macedonia border on Thursday.

Police spotted the suspect, a 24-year-old Afghan national, at Idomeni railway station.

A warrant had been issued for the man for murder of the 17 year old, who was also from Afghanistan, on August 8.
