Woman pulled out dead from river in central Greece
A woman who fell into the Pinios River, in Greece’s Thessaly region, on Tuesday, was pulled out dead, authorities said.
Rescuers were alerted by passersby who saw the woman slip on a wooden footpath and fall into the water.
After pulling her out of the river she was transferred to Larissa’s General hospital where doctors confirmed her death.
The local police station is investigating the circumstances of the accident.
