Crete: Search for Austrian swimmer missing since Sunday

Greece’s Coast Guard was searching on Monday for an Austrian tourist who went missing on Sunday afternoon while she was swimming in front of her hotel at the resort town of Ierapetra, southeast Crete.
Teh woman was reported missing by her husband on Monday.
The couple had gone for a swim at Katharades beach and had fallen asleep on rented sunbeds, according to the husband.
When he awoke, he found no trace of his wife.
He then searched the beach and the sea before seeking help.
Coast guard, police and air force units are involved with the search, as is a Red Cross drone and many private boats.
