Police seize over 3,000 packs of contraband cigarettes

More than 3,000 packs of cigarettes were seized by police in the northern city of Kilkis on Tuesday. The police coordinated action based on intelligence that a car was carrying cigarettes for which the appropriate import taxes had not been paid.
The cigarettes have been sent to the appropriate customs house to calculate the missing tax, while the driver of the car has been arrested and was led to the First Instance Prosecutor at Kilkis.
