Man accused of attacking wife with ax led before prosecutor

A man from the island of Evia accused of attacking his estranged wife with an axe was led before a prosecutor on Friday.
According to the 47-year-old woman, the suspect visited her in Pefki on Thursday afternoon where the two argued and he allegedly tried to hit her with an axe.
The woman called the police and the man was promptly arrested.
