Police searching for suspect in bank hold-up

Police has launched a manhunt to apprehend an armed robber who made off with 8,000 euros after holding up a bank in the southern Athenian district of Nea Smyrni on Thursday morning.
According to th authorities, the man entered the bank branch shortly after 8 a.m. wearing a surgical mask, pulled out a gun and forced an employee to hand over available cash.
He then fled the scene.
