Storm causes power outages in Athens

A wet weather system dubbed Ballos knocked out the power in many parts of the Greek capital on Thursday and flooded streets.
The Civil Defense Ministry also sent out an emergency alert message warning citizens not to venture outdoors unless absolutely necessary
The stormy weather came in from the west on Wednesday night and quickly spread east, hitting the mainland and the Peloponnese.
