Chios village evacuated as firemen battle blaze

People were evacuated Thursday morning as firemen battled a blaze at the village of Katavasi, located on the northwest side of the island of Chios.
No injuries were reported. The blaze was being fanned by strong winds and was threatening homes.
It was not known what caused the fire.
