Zaev applies for new North Macedonia passport

The prime minister of North Macedonia has applied for a new passport bearing the country’s constitutional name of Republic of Northern Macedonia, according to reports.
A government source told the the pro-government Sloboden Pechat daily hat Zoran Zaev had applied for a new diplomatic passport.
Zaev had stated last week that the issuing of new passports bearing the state’s new name would begin on 5 July.
